Enhancing Mental Health Support in Secondary Schools

The Enhancing Mental Health Support in Schools (EMHSS) initiative helps Victorian government secondary students access free face-to-face and phone counselling services, delivered by headspace.

It is available to all student cohorts, with tailored strategies for those which face higher risks or greater barriers to engagement.

Since 2019, NWMPHN has been the lead agency for this initiative, responsible for coordinating and contracting the other five Victorian PHNs to implement the program locally.

EMHSS is fully funded through the Victorian Department of Education until 30 June 2028.

Visit the Victorian Government website for more information.
