It offers advice on practical, sustainable and adaptable models of care and funding to facilitate an expanded and integrated role for the allied health workforce in primary care. It explores barriers to an increased and integrated role for allied health professionals in multidisciplinary team care and considers merits of current and emerging placed based models of care, and funding.
