VTPHNA response (2021): Productivity Commission Final Report on Mental Health
In February 2021, the Victorian and Tasmanian PHN Alliance provided feedback on the final report of the Productivity Commission into Mental Health – a national inquiry on the social and economic benefits of improving mental health.
The paper highlighted the five key roles of PHNs against the recommendations of the Commission’s final report:
regional commissioning
primary care system stewardship
primary health care education, training and workforce development
system coordination and integration
health system transformation and reform.
