Home About the Alliance Collaboration

Collaboration

The Alliance is supported by a team of statewide senior leads with priority efforts in mental health, population health and data, and engagement and integration. These roles are shared between the Alliance and the Victorian Government Department of Health and Human Services (DHHS). Leads are responsible for working across the six Primary Health Networks and the Victorian Government Department of Health and Human Services to advance our collective work program and realise integrated system responses.

Memorandum of Understanding with the Victorian Department of Health and Human Services

In July 2018, the Victorian Department of Health and Human Services, Victorian Primary Health Networks, and the Victorian PHN Alliance signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to formalise the commitment and over-arching framework for a collaborative working relationship.

The MoU is a significant milestone in support of collaboration between the sectors. The MoU reflects the shared focus on aim of improving the efficacy of the health system and achieving better health outcomes for all Victorians.

The schedules attached to the MoU encompass i) joint planning (inclusive of service, workforce, digital health and emergency management planning, and capacity building and prevention activities through to service delivery planning), and ii) data management (i.e. data strategy, collection, sharing, and analytics and use), and co-commissioning whereby parties work together to commission services for better outcomes.

It is exciting to formalise our partnership and facilitate integrated State and Australian Government initiatives for all Victorians.
